It is quite a shock to the system to be by the river after the desert! :-0

At the Letaba High Bridge we spotted something very rare indeed!

q.jpg

RP: "Aha! Can you see what THAT is there at the puddle? :-0 "

Frew: "Is this one of your stupid quizzes again? :O^ "

BL: "There is nothing. NOTHING!!" (He is normally aggressive by this time of day, as one may remember from previous trips...) O**

DW: "A Shwan!'

It was a Kori bustard drinking/dreaming...never seen that! \O

At this time of the year the algae makes a beautiful colour show! [O]

And there were hordes of fish! I love it! O/\

These are mostly Blue Kurper, Tilapia Mossambicus, and they were busy nesting...making many depressions in the sand! O/\

q6.jpg

BL: "Nonshenshe! There is NO such thing! (0!) "

RP: "We have this conversation every year. I promise you they are neshting...nesting... :O^ "

BL: "You LIE!"

RP: "Look at the pretty colours! ^Q^ "
