Re: Addo 2020
We pulled in at Jacks for a pit stop and heard that lion had been seen first thing near the Addo Heights road junction. It was still early so we decided to back-track and see whether we could track them down. No such luck unfortunately, but through the hills above Wayne's Valley we caught a glimpse of a really healthy looking bushpig
Heading back north again, there was a bit of activity at Marion Baree with a buffalo taking a looooong drink
There was also a brown hooded kingfisher taking its morning bath... here's a sequence showing it's repetitive route
This particular trip was filled with jackal sightings - most of them slinking along in the shade at the side of the road like this one
We pulled in for coffee and hot chocolate at the main camp - the Cattle Baron are doing some takeaways at the moment. This was a view that we have seriously missed over the past few months

Re: Addo 2020
Nzipondo loop was relatively quiet, but D had a good spot of a female southern black korhaan very close to the road
We took a lunch stop at Hapoor despite there being no herds around this time. Every now and then we had a visitor which made it a very enjoyable meal
The buffalo was particularly impressive with his wide set of horns
We had a good check for lion again near the Gorah entrance but it wasn't to be our day for cats. The last sighting was a small buffalo family with a real youngster in tow

Re: Addo 2020
What a lovely day
Nice kingfisher show
Southern black korhaan
Even buffalos can be cute, if they are young enough
I love the broad horned buff sniffing the air
Looking forward to the next visit

Re: Addo 2020
I'm really happy for you that you're able to go back into the park again. And I see you got your hair neatly trimmed as well - against all odds of lockdown or sitting at the hairdresser's with a mask
Fab sighting of the bushpig and I don't think I've ever seen a pic of several kingfishers frolicking at a bath together
Otherwise well executed photos as usual
