The lion population is decreasing according to IUCN

So are rhino numbers if you listen to some of the spin out there. :twisted:

Lion numbers are crashing drastically throughout Africa.

This survey below estimates 32,000 left, but I have also seen figures of 23,000 and declining quoted. Will try to find the source for the lower figure.

It quotes the Lion population estimates for Africa which, as far as I am aware, incluses the bit in the South. -O
