This nearly 50 year-old roan breeding project, complete with flying in roan from Malawi to strenghthen the gene pool long ago, has been a safeguard against the extinction of roan in Kruger. Even government has admitted the survivors were immediately innoculated, so no reason whatsoever for moving them to "quarantine"...except that it is easier for buyers to pick them up at Skukuza.
If they need to go to Mokala, they can go directly from Phala Gate. If there is an Anthrax risk, it is madness to move them to the South all along Kruger, where Anthrax is very rare! N'washitsumbe had no deaths, and is going fine!
