As BT said, Mpongholo and Redrocks are the best drives in that area.

Funny....that road has always been dead for us!
You must sleep when you drive - you have the same problem with the S28/S130/S137

That road has produced several Leopard sightings, Lion, multitudes of Ele and Buffs and even (completely unexpected) Cheetah, not to mention more than one big tusker and that's apart from it being a really beautiful place to be.

Both too long to do in the afternoon and often completely devoid of animals but also very pleasant places to be
We also had one of our best Leopard sightings on the Red Rocks road a couple of years ago.

We did Redrocks in an afternoon...left camp at about 3.

We don't like to rush those drives

We definitely didn't rush and had a great leopard sighting.

When we were camping in the Kgalagadi last year it was zero C or lower almost every night with one extra bracing night at minus six. We were comfortably warm because we had the right gear with us! The Kruger doesn't get anywhere near as cold.
That is off-topic here...you are just bragging!
Thanks for those stats...note how the camps not next to rivers are warmer at night!

Not bragging, just making the point that if you have the right gear you don't get cold!

Rubbish! No sub-zero in Kruger except at Tamboti!

Any temperature below 20C feels like it's sub-zero to KZNers
