Austin Roberts Bird Sanctuary has become my most visited venue.

It's not worth getting there before 8:00 at this time of year because the shadows of the trees and buildings are across the dam.

Next visit was on 29 March. This was the last time with my old D5100 as my primary camera. I've had this for over four years and was due for replacement.

Whitefaced Ducks put on a great show.

Then did some mutual grooming.

Yellowbilled Ducks also gave me a couple of photo opportunities.

My first sighting of Black Ducks at AR.

The immigrant Blackbellied Whistling Ducks were still present.

The resident Blue Cranes have had their wings clipped so they have to get around by wading.

The white-faced ducks are not at all as dull as they seem, nor are the other ducks if you take your time to watch them
