"Swam" is not a word used in the Passive Voice. "Eggshell" and "lawsuit" are single words. "Too" should be "to"...General Gump wrote:BJ, the Thamalakane River was swam in.
The ablutions are lovely but flipping dangerous to get too. Egg shell concrete with bolts sticking out, narrow path winding in between. A waiting law suit.

Re: Botswana Sep 2015
"Voetsek" is spelled incorrectly, IMO, more often "voertsek"?

Re: Botswana Sep 2015
Where along the Thamalakane river is your friends lodge? Its good to know of a some other places to stop. Last time we camped about 33 km south of Maun at Drifters. along the Boteti river that runs out of the Thamalakane river. The first place we visited near Maun was Sitatunga near the Thamalakane river. Got there at 7 pm in the winter without any booking as we did not have a boat to reach Guma Lagoon camp and had to look for alternative overnight stop.
Did you take any pics as evidence for the lawsuit. I took some last time and post also under TT's of Botswana Parks. Will post the link.

Hope its fine with you to add some pictures while RP is moaning about the spelling. Also understand the egg box (one or two words ) description when looking at the pics.

South Camp: Part III
We stayed at campsite No 2 with lots of trees, but imagine turning around with a trailer behind your car or reversing back out. No wonder one of the trees only had a stump left.
On numerous occasions before our visit the elephants tried to get water from the bathrooms breaking the pipes to get to the water. Frustrated park officials came up with an idea to make the bathrooms and washing-up area elephant proof and even zombie proof in case of any invasion.
Electric fences and huge spikes makes it even difficult for visitors to enter. At this camp you can't drink to much and use the bathroom unless you got the balancing act right along the narrow path. Also pray that you are rather inside than outside when the elephants come and investigate. You might get stuck on those spikes and the elephants may use you as a mat or reach the gate or may get electrocuted in your haste to open the gate. (103 ways to die)
