I think the first Cormorant is a "Little Cormorant"
the Open wing an "Indian, Oriental Darter"
the wader... sorry can't find
Kingfisher "White-troated Kingfisher"
the Bee-Eater, I think is a "Blue-tailed Bee-Eater" (Blue-cheeked are not in Kerala)
the big Cormorant an "Indien Cormorant"
Hope is right
please continue to have pictures of those beautiful birds

First month hereMel wrote:Hmz... that bed thing is no good considering your fragile skeleton structure. Will you spent your whole three months in that particular house or are you moving on eventually? I know you told me before, but I forgot.
No sympathies for the kitchen being too hot to cook though... You chose a place where it is warm now.
You must learn to make Indian curries with local ingredients.
Second month on the real back waters further north
and then a week in the hill where the tea plantations are. Another week at a wilderness reserve. A week of luxury (fully serviced) http://vismaya.in/index.php
The last week in Kochi, town close to the sea from where we will catch the flight back home.
BTW the weather is not humid anymore and my back is better and I have almost got accustomed to the bed.

Saturday 26th Dec. 2015
A day on the beach
Indian women are obviously very hesitant to put on a swimsuit As far as I remember, I have only seen one and she was probably coming from GB
Restaurant "The Curry Leaf" behind the beach
The "climb" to get up there Which is also the view from the deck of the restaurant
Someone we met on the way
Yummi catch of the day
and the local "Kingfisher" beer, which is nothing special, but drinkable

Re: Impressions of Kerala, India in photos and words
When we returned home, they were cutting the coconuts. This is the very, very tall palm tree that we have in our tiny garden
Looking for the right place to put the hook so the whole bunch can arrive safely down without killing anybody
We are staying on the ground floor in the villa on the right hand side
Preparing a couple of coconuts for us
