Interesting the tree variety there, AN...wonder if planted for shade, some really shady ones!

And loerie and malachite!

Looks very nice there...one may fall asleep every now and then.

For peace and relaxation this is an ideal place to get away from the rat race
The areas in and around have a lot to offer a visitor!

Otherwise it looks like a really serene place. The ducks look very relaxed and
it seems like time is standing still kind of in your photos. Love it

Took a drive to the lookout point

Coming down the hill found this island to be rather interesting
Did not notice any human inhabitants as yet!



Then we were off to see the big tree
Nice mountain scenery on route there



Then we arrived at our destination



It is an easy walk only +- 80 m from the parking area



The ferns are just beautiful



So peaceful all you could hear were the Knysna Turaco's calling to each other
The rest was deathly quiet







Even with this notification, which did not help as the notice had been mutilated





I don’t think even if I lay down on the ground I would have been able to get the entire tree into the photo to the crown

Interesting to see the different mushrooms and fungus growing on the stems and stumps of fallen trees

Tried to find the Malachite Kingfisher on our return, but it did not happen but loved the reflection in the water

I really can't understand why people have to carve their messages into things? I last did it as a small child, maybe that is the answer?
