The cloud formations were crazy...unheard of for this time of year, with crystal winter light!







Momprins wasn't so intent on feeding this one...

More clouds!





Our next waterhole was Kwaggaspan! With animals! At last I was going to see animals ing drinking!!!




But it was a ruse - not one impala touched a drop...


So more clouds.



Momprins was writing notes about dam level, cellphone reception etc. More clouds.




I was almost in tears, but there was one thing at the water itself. This martial didn't move a feather for half an hour, and eventually we wondered if it was stuck? But it wasn't.

Every cloud has a silver lining! They are quite pretty!

Love the cloud formations in Kruger, Richprins,

especially with a blue sky - This is also always Kruger for me

AT LAST something appeared looking thirsty!

We had now been here for quite a while with little further reward, so continued our mission!

We stopped at Afsaal for a possible lunch, but it was busy as always, and slightly early for hunger, so we embarked on what we thought would only be an hour or so back to camp on the H2-2...might as well make lunch there!



Lo and behold, there was water in the Voortrekker Windmill reservoir!


Anyway, elephant drinking didn't mean much. We took the little loop to the trough nonetheless. A warthog next to a rubbing post. (A trees tump used by all sorts of herbivores to rub against.)
