Hope it wasn't too severe in the end for her and she was still able to enjoy most of the trip!

The sightings definitely support that. Amazing just how many leopards you saw on your first two drives.
And even a cub thrown in. WOW :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0

Lions sightings aren't shabby either and even an sable antelope! ^Q^

(0!) to those people chasing off the leopard cub as well as the lions with their stupid behaviours 0-
Hi Mel 0/*

Bushpig is tough Mel, so she gets through most things without too much of a drama \O

Yes, we scored with the leopard this trip ;-)

KNP in the south seems to have more stupid people every year and it's escalating O/

Great Lion sighting as well and you are correct the S30 can be extreme looooong when the Sabie is no longer in sight.

Love the barn owl O/\
Pumbaa, I do some research around 1 month before each trip on leopards from the S147 south (the areas I can get to based on the trip booked). It's mostly luck though =O: =O:

I have only seen 3 leopard on the S30 in my lifetime, so I don't have much confidence while on the road :O^

29th Lower Sabie

The leopard cub from the previous day was a massive draw card for me, so the plan this morning was to head down the H4-1, up the H1-2, stopping at the cub spot and then up to Tshokwane for a late boerewors roll breakfast.

The H4-1 from Lower Sabie was fairly quiet with only the odd local popping up until outside Nkuhlu where some hyena made an appearance in 2 locations and the local boon gangsters were on the road again.

Around the H12 Bridge area we came across 3 male lions and the 1 was parking off in the middle of the road causing a traffic jam on the Skukuza side, but he seemed more interested in a plane flying over than the cars behind him.

The lion in the road then got up and walked straight towards us before turning off the road and lying down right next to us which was a massive luck because in minutes the other 2 males followed suit.

2 of the lions went straight to sleep and sleeping lions are rather boring, but the 1 male decided to yawn like he hadn’t slept in days.

We were starting to get boxed in so I quickly did some hand signals for a gap and ducked to leave the gang to fight it out for our spot.

To be continued

Harry, PM me your next trip details around 3 weeks prior to leaving and I will check if I can assist with leopard cub info, that's if I have any at the time. \O
