I also have mates who regularly see leopards there. This one was an adolescent just off the tar road between Mission Rocks and Catalina Bay. My wife got a very blurry picture in the fading light (whilst feeding the baby) before it moved off.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - visitors to the #uMkhuze section of iSimangaliso, please be aware that there is currently an unplanned bush fire burning in the vicinity south of Mantuma Camp. While management staff are doing their best to manage the situation, conditions are very dry and flames can spread easily. Guests should please avoid affected areas and roads for their own safety. KuMasinga Hide is currently closed until conditions improve. Please be cautious and follow any instructions by Ezemvelo management staff. Your assistance will be most appreciated. Latest #uMkhuze fire update - KuMasinga Hide is open and active! Lions, cubs, elephant are there right now...(but remember burning trees may still fall, so be cautious when driving past). Please refer any queries or observations to Park management. Enjoy!

Guys good news to report back is that the fire was quickly contained on that evening.
We actually stayed there from Tues to Fri last week (after having stayed in Imfolozi for the previous 3 nights) and had some incredible sightings. The male elephant (Julius) mock charged us whilst walking towards the pool about 30 mins after arriving ... and we had a few more close encounters with him in the camp and at the hide. We had three separate side-striped jackal sightings (they seemed to enjoy playing in the burnt grass), a few suni, our first Mkhuze rhino sighting up close at the hide... and to top it off, we spotted the two female wild dogs casually running down the road (they have been separated from the pack so haven't been located in several weeks). Birding was, as usual, incredible and best part of all... almost all sightings completely to ourselves :) 
We didn't manage to find the lions, but they had apparently been visiting the two hides regularly over the previous week and guests got to enjoy some incredible photo opportunities of the lioness teaching the cubs to hunt. It seems that they moved on due to the smoke.
Truly a gem of a reserve :)
