It is the Marloth fence, Alpheus.
Eish, that looks like a Brewers hyena...
Does the boy ever pay his own way for these lux trips, SN?

I can just imagine a warthog isn't enough for all those lions

Looks like that is the place to sit, SN!
I assume the road is a bit busy, though?

RP: Correct, the lions had moved it to the waterhole and stayed for a few days

A rather sandy meal
Nice LBR

Some colour was indeed needed in the middle of all the sand of lions of the same colour

Saturday 1st September 2018 – Continued
We had taken a long morning drive, so only went in for an hour in the evening to see what the Lions were up to. We entered the park at 16h45 and went straight to the dam.
The lions were scattered all around the dam in small groups, but it was too early to move yet.
A few lions kept themselves occupied by chasing vultures
We sat with them until just before closing, then headed for the gate. After the Croc bridge gate, we found more lions that were between the gate and the Croc river bridge.
We had already passed through the gate, and it was now after 18h00, so we stayed (and kept watch of the gate on the far side of the bridge in case it closed)
Question: -Does anyone know if or how long you are allowed in this section of no-man’s-land after 18h00 gate closing ?
Soon the lions started waking up
and more lions joined them
Then they all started to move towards the river, it was 18h30 by this stage and getting dark, we were the only ones left, all other cars were out the gate and gone.
