4th period 9th to 14th February 2017 - Mata Mata – Kiliekrankie

This morning, I take my time. I am moving to Mata Mata for 4 nights. One of the three main camps that have electricity. Twee Rivieren day and night, Nossob and Mata Mata during the day, extinction of the lights from 21:30 to 5 in the morning. For me, the whole thing is to go to bed before 9:30 pm ... I still don't like the night :o0ps:

The sunrise is magnificent, only some Antelopes graze already :-)

Small detour to the south, to Kamqua, to find the Hyenas. They eat, the botty from the night? Mystery :-?
And under the big tree to the left of the road leading to Nossob, a shape... a Lion is elongate, and doesn't seem to move any more. I'm going to see. It's an old Lion, who doesn't seem to me at all in good shape. He raises his head slightly and lets it fall again. Oops ... it's sad to see the king of animals finish like that ... alone

Great departure for the north.

On the way I find a Striped Kingfisher, now more or less common in the park, and a brand new bird that should not be in the desert... -O-
