Oops...not sure if I would have headed that way!

-O
Those berries look delicious!

Glad you took the waders all the way just for some pics in the water! -O

Beautiful scenery again
If I heard a growl from anything I would have hightailed it into the middle of the lake
How cold was the lake

I wouldn't have gone on that trail - no way, no how. Still you lived to tell the tail so guess it was safe (ish) after all.
Everything is so interesting. How cold was the lake water? Did you have any problems with ticks in the long grass or woods? (nasty creatures they are) I'm thinking the waders would have been useful for more than just taking pictures of you in the lake. Protection from ticks say?

Thanks for the comments and for reading Mel, Richprins, Lisbeth, Nan, Pooky, Flutterby, Bushcraft & Jillinflorida.
Mel - 2 bears were shot following that incident.

We were very happy & relaxed. It was a great group and we all gelled together very well throughout the trip.
RP - Hope to see one of your TT's starting in a similar vein soon. -O
Lis - So would I. -O The berries tasted sweet and fresh - like loganberries.
Nan - Hardly any walking on those rocks. You would have managed fine.
Pooky - The water was cool, but not too cold. The berries were sweet.
Flutt's - It was easier to simply wear the waders the whole time as we were often in the sea/rivers/damp grass.
BC - Bears are good swimmers. Never run, it triggers an atttack. The lake was cool, but not too cold. Too cold to swim though. -O
Jill - No issues with ticks at all. I've had worse problems with them when birding in New York State due to the much higher densities of White-tailed Deer there. Nasty little buggers to get rid of and the threat of Lyme's disease as well.
