You can buy the logs from a garden nursery for around R55 to R75 depending on the size. We capped it with an old coffee can so it woun't rot from the rain. The whole must face South East. We had a stranger in our garden on Wednesday - must be someone's pet that has escaped.
I feel very sorry for it as not sure how long it will survive in the wild.

It is summer and there is plenty to eat.....if it is not too choosey

I have just seen the budgie come to feed at the tray again. He is in excellent condition.
