Two leopards!! Fantastic!

That's the kind of sighting (a leopard almost disappearing) that makes your heart jump a couple of beats

At least these two were not the last leopards during that trip

Although that area can be busy it is for us one of the best Leopard spots in the park

At least not the masses of leopards you are using to see

Furthermore the leopard was only visible from one spot and as we were the only car we could take a couple of shots and on top with a lifted head



and whilst we waited for some action of the leopard a spotted flycatcher landed close by



whilst the leopard got more alert





and allowed us quite a number of more shots until same finally decided to jump down the bush and was not longer to be seen although we still waited a while at least right time and right place and even two leopards within only minutes.



As we were anywhere there we for sure paid Transport dam now another visit and were greeted by a lot of resting waterbucks



and a group of grazing wildebeests.



The waterbucks were indeed still extreme sleepy and enjoyed the quiet early morning at the dam,

a couple of white faced ducks just landed on one of the huge rocks,





a baby waterbuck needed some early morning running exercise



and we finally made a short break at Skukuza before we started the long journey to Satara. After our short break we then stopped for quite a number of marabous in a dead tree





and whilst we stood again on the causeway across the Sabie it started to rain again but at least we could spot a green backed heron



and lots of white egrets.



To our luck the Marula loop was still open but extreme muddy and slippery and there we came across an extreme shy kudu female



who wanted to join her girlfriends on the other side of the road but did not dare. We then carried on and paid a detour to N’watindlopfu where we met an elephant bull



and a Wahlberg eagle on the ground.
