On one side of the road the dogs enjoyed me time whilst on the other side of the road the larger group was lying
whilst still others were active
or at least needed a stretch.
The whole rest of the time we stood at that sighting overall one hour no other cars either from the front nor from the back arrived so we had the dogs at that wonderful sighting all to ourselves indeed such a wonderful gift to say good bye and to compensate us for the quiet last full day we had yesterday. They even allowed us some close ups
before it was time for us to say good bye to them which we in fact did with a heavy heart.
We carried on and at the bridge across the Nkulumbeni we even met again the two cars who were standing there on the road side and were not interested in the wild dogs. For sure now we asked them what they were looking at and they bumbled something about a seldom bee eater they were looking for and same had been seen yesterday exactly here. Normally when it comes to birds we are always the last ones to leave them behind but as no birds were present we drove on as on top the cars waited already more than an hour.
So we continued and after a while we noticed a couple of giraffes surrounded by thick vegetation and with grey clouds in the background which in fact did not look good at all.
Not far from the giraffes we noticed something white flying from here to there and after that white fluff came to a standstill we luckily noticed another magpie shrike completely white
funny was that already a couple of years ago we saw such a white magpie already at the Babalala picnic spot and we were happy that we could see another one today.
to be continued with the very last installment………………..
