A friend of mine pointed out that it's mating time for caracals at the moment which is why they are being seen together in pairs. These 2 the other day and the one last Wednesday was in very close proximity to another.... better keep an eye out for little ones from mid October onwards \O

Josie's cubs are not exactly cubs anymore, rather teenagers! lol But they look great and Josie seems to be a great mum who provides well for her offspring.
Quite a good achievement, seeing it's the first time for her and that she lost Gina who could have shown her the ropes. ^Q^

Just imagine little caracals! :-0 :-0 :-0 Just saw pictures of some once. Well, actually twice but the second time the photo opportunities didn't seem to have
been all too favourable. 0*\

There is something to be said for that Lis - certain areas of the park are particularly good for caracal. When are you heading this way Mel? And are you staying at the main camp or Matyholweni (or both)?
