We cross the south of the Namib Desert and what my astonishment: Wild Horses. Michele had warned me however ... we could, with a little luck to see them.
They are there, they arrive in small groups at the water point, nervous, females accompany them. An Oryx and an Ostrich will also make an appearance ... thirsty

Nice little town on the edge of the ocean. Our room (No. 5) is part of a rather large Guest House, we occupy the ground floor with direct ocean views.
A small terrace is part of this room and it is a joy to spend a few hours waiting for the sunset.

Oh wow Nan..we did have a wonderful time didn't we . :)
Those Wild Horses were so beautiful and I will be forever grateful that they put in an appearance for us....
Ha ..the Jaeger...without fail we had Jaeger. By now I was quite relaxed with us Girls going solo...I did feel a bit sorry for Doug left behind in Windhoek though...but hey somebody has to work . :)

Have stayed at Luderitz too...the water is VERY cold...

Such a stunning variety of birds...Did enjoy the Pelicans!
The accommodation looks 1st class all over
Beautiful Wild horses..So special to have seen them on your first trip there
Interesting sightings even the Baboons were a treat

and the landscape is really lovely
