We saw this Crinum in October 2012 , right next to the road between Orpen and Satara .

Toko , I tend to agree with you on this , although according the actual description it appears that the leaves should be quite large - 50-80 cm , whereas the photograph shows much smaller leaves - may have been eaten/damaged by an animal .
Hmmmm..... the pic was taken in October when the plants were in full bloom . Maybe , next week when we are in the vicinity , may see some again -O- Wishful thinking , or what O:V

The leaves in your photo are only half ones, some animal had some lekker morsels!

Can anyone help with an ID for this plant, seen extensively in Mapungubwe, always close to the river, in late October 2014.

seems to be some sort of "Liseron"... will search ;-)

Convolvulaceae / Ipomea... or so...

Thanks so much Toko (and nan) O0 . Very interesting, since I sadly saw LOTS of this plant, both in Mapungubwe and in Kruger. Clearly much work will be needed to remove it O**
