I'll continue with a few more updates here soon, but there was one particular day trip that was more than just an outing... you can read about it here:

Re: Addo Outings
Maybe we could split up this generally into years?
Addo Outings 2014
Addo Outings 2015
Addo Outings 2016
and for this year
Addo Outings 2017
Only if you're okay with it, PJL, since it is your thread

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.

And easy enough to do... I just have to find the switch overs on these 145 pages

Re: Addo Outings 2016
Amazingly there are a couple more afternoon visits to Addo to squeeze into this 2016 thread...
One afternoon we managed to find Josie and Duffy on the Addo Heights road. It was a sweltering day, but we managed to catch Josie awake at one point in the late afternoon
Not long afterwards Duffy decided it was time to try and wake up
And then go for a bit of a stroll
She then waited very close to us to see whether her mom would follow...
But Josie was fast asleep so after a bit more sitting around and yawning she wandered back and we left them sleeping

Re: Addo Outings 2016
Just to round off the year, it ended with a high cuteness factor. We were fortunate to see three bat-eared fox pups
It's a species that I have seen occasionally in the park, but not for many years now. Good to see that they are still around
The pups have since left the den, so we were very lucky to catch them when we did
