Indeed! Crucial, IMO to have exact numbers of rhino (as humanly possible) and then justify if there are any "surplus" rhino to reolcate either for generating income or to stock up other populations.

Lowvelder had a story recently about relocation of six blackies, I think

The Blackies weren't paid for by Botswana..a genuine initiative!

But the "normal" rhino sales from Skukuza bomas are now being linked to "helping save the rhino"...which is rubbish! If it's an emergency, why make the recipients pay for the privilege? 0-

SP's expected income from game/flora sales is R12 500 000 for 2014/15...budgeted for and similarly achieved over the last few years. That is mostly rhino.

No ways!

There was a problem a couple of years ago when sold rhinos were poached soon after arrival, so obviously no public details! ;-)
