My favourite is the Woodland Kingfisher Pumbaa. Never seen one of those.
Also a stunning capture of the Parrot. We found those very tricky to photograph as they always seemed to be in the dense foliage of trees.
The grass is unbelievable!

The kudu ladies have some parasites!
Lovely birdies all round...I like the kingfisher!

Totally right about the parrots you will more often hear them than seeing them

The proud parents presented their goslings
and we were happy to having captured them altogether.
A fish eagle was also hanging around
but was not willing to take off and kept sitting on a branch.
We also paid Girivana a visit and there we found a European roller with its kill
and a cute squirrel but otherwise that area was deserted.
The S36 then offered a couple of more sightings such as some kudu ladies,
impalas, zebras and giraffes.
We stopped for a beautiful purple roller
and came across lots of resting buffaloes
who simply enjoyed the lovely day.

So when in that area a drive on the S126 is normally also a must although that road can also be extreme quiet but we stopped for another bateleur
who was busy in peeling off some rotten branches.
We came across some yellow billed hornbills
and a very noisy lark.
Further along that road we enjoyed more kudus,
in the vicinity of Welverdiend waterhole we met a steenbok who we already met there at nearly the same spot last year
and met another bateleur.
Then we had to stop for a bit longer on the road as first we only saw sporadically a couple of elephants grazing a bit farer away from the road but suddenly we heard rustling and noticed moving bushes from nearly everywhere and then we were surrounded
by either one or even more elephant herds.
to be continued.....
