Thanks for all your comments Lis, RP, Mel, ExFmem, Nan, Flutt's & Pumbaa. \O X#X

Lis - I just loved watching the way he used his trunk. O/\

RP - aquatiphant. lol \O

Mel - Very peaceful. \O We do get a wee bit closer in a bit.

ExFmem - Agree, the monitor sighting was a tad special. \O

Nan - More close ups to come in a bit. \O

Flutt's - It felt great to be so close. I think I mentioned earlier in this TT that all the ellies we encountered seemed relaxed and chilled out compared to ones we have seen in other parks.

Pumbaa - More birdies to come here. And lots more ellies. \O

We continued to watch the elephant feeding for quite some time. Curling his trunk around a clump of fresh grass, he would shake the dirt from the roots before putting them in his mouth.

Image

Then repeat the process all over again.

Image

Grabbing a clump, curling his trunk, cleaning the roots, bring to the mouth....

Image

Inspect the blade.

Image

Not nearly enough to feed a growing elephant there.

Image

Try again...that's more like it!

Image

A proper mouthful this time.

Image

And chew.
