
Were they not supposed to do an autopsy? If yes, they should know if it was a snake bite or something else

After a few further phone calls today it seems that the snake bite information was just speculation. They also won't be doing an autopsy on her body... it was an unexpected premature death but not suspicious (e.g. the jackal poison story). Based on the condition of her body (still very much intact but showing decomposition) it seems likely that she died sometime between the last week of November and the first few weeks of December and that Josie and the cubs stayed with her most of that time. A very sad turn of events, but I'm also very excited to see whether Josie can raise her litterLisbeth wrote:![]()
