Oi! Super photos again! But like the rest of the folks here, I'm totally with the rhinos :-0

For sure we stayed until they were no longer to be seen and then made our way slowly back to camp but for sure stopped for zebras

Image

and even more zebras

Image

and some of them were in a fighting mood.

Image

Image

Back in camp then we enjoyed our very last Satarian braai although this area compared to our last stays here presented itself a bit quiet this time but we nevertheless had a great time there.

Wednesday, 22. February 2017 – Satara – Letaba

Driven roads: H1-4 – H7 – S40 – S12 – S39 – S89 – S90 – H1-5

After four nights in Satara it was finally again moving day gladly not yet our very last camp but our way is leading us steadily Northwards and so we packed everything together already looking forward to the drive to Letaba which in the end took longer than expected.......

The weather was the same as already during the previous days very cloudy with some rain in between so it was still extreme dark when we left camp with gate opening and only met an elephant bull

Image

on our way to Nsemani where we did not spend that much time as same was deserted but we took the small detour via Girivana and had to be patient again as a large elephant herd was blocking once again the road.

Image

Image

Lot of little ones could also be seen nearly everywhere

Image

and they are always such cuties.

All of them gladly were very relaxed and so we were allowed to take a couple of pictures as we parked in a great distance to them and

Image

Image

we already were about to turn around as it took indeed quite a while until all of them crossed the road and finally the road was ours again and so we could continue.

Image

Girivana was also deserted and so we carried on only to stop for another raptor

Image

and along the tar road we met lots of wildebeests with an incredible number of babies running around

Image

with an intruder in form of another elephant bull.

Image

The smaller wildebeests started to fight

Image

and were running around enjoying life.

Image

The older ones finally got bitten by the bug as well and started the running contest as well

Image

and we even saw a flying wildebeest.

Image

At that sighting we indeed stayed quite a while as we had such a fun in observing and photographing them.

Image

to be continued.....
