I remember there was a striped kingfisher at this sighting too,only my second one, in exactly the same area as the first a few years before! But no pic...


And this quite rare in winter!

Then home for a grand brunch...

Afternoon walk, with this coughed-up something hairy...



That year there was the shot-hole borer scare, an early warning trap!


And Dadprins and Prinswilliam's turn to braai!

Funny how the horns of the young buffalos are straight and growing get a completely other shape.

At Shitlhave turnoff a chap stopped us and advised us to go down to the dam for A Surprise!
