Another hyena on the H1-2.

A nice tusker somewhere after Tshokwane.

The road to the baobab is open again. We noticed that this one had no leaves, while the one at Timbavati did have leaves. -O-

Mazithi and Kumana were both completely dry :-( , and the bush had been burnt from Kumana to just before Sweni, and we saw absolutely nothing on this stretch. :O^

This flaming log was near the baobab tree.

Plenty hyena around, where on the H4-1 was that den?

I see you got to visit the baobab, hopefully it remains open as it seems to be open 1 day and closed the next -O-

We were also surprised to see Mazithi and Kumana dry

The den was just before the first detour coming from Lower Sabie side.

From the amount of smoke we could see, it was a large area. We also spoke to someone who had been evacuated from Tamboti a couple of days before because the fire got too close.

I love the baobab, but prefer it with the leaves.....but not too sure about that lol

Yes, lots of hyenas. :yes: It is horrible to see the burnt areas, but it does look lovely when the green shoots appear! :-0

Ja, lots of burns this year, I have never been convinced that they know what they are doing other than loving fire... :O^
