It looks easy, compared to humans. The egg travels very quickly from the oviduct down to the opening and is not very large. After the act the bird “freezes” in a motionless posture only for a very short time to recover.
Should be fun to be a bird and lay eggs, I think lol

Little Southern Masked Weaver has weaved closed my garden bird feeder! Anyone ever seen this before or know why he might've done this?

At first we thought he might be showing off his home-building skills to attract a mate (he periodically stops working to do a little shimmy so definitely seems like it's mating season), but he also gets really upset if any other birds try to eat from the feeder so maybe he just wants all the food for himself. Does anyone know?
