Our party arrived on the Thursday afternoon. During and after pitching the tents we indulged in a few cold X#X 's. This lead us to the idea of staying in camp and only venturing out the next day into the park. So, somehow Friday morning arrived and we took our first drive. Here are a few pics...

Back in camp I got these two hard at work in formation...

Ja... so there were really Cheetah's and not only shady dots.. 0*\ 0*\ Well done Flutts.

Super pics Sprocky \O

Here are some pics we took on our trip -

Taken by Efjay at the Centre -

Image

A francolin

Image

Capped Wheatear (not Mountain Wheatear) - such a beautiful bird

Image

Female and Male Green winged Pytilla

Is this a black crowned tjagra - the bird is new to me - Flutts helped me - it is a Kalahari Scrub Robin. Still new to me. \O

Image

Some red hartebeest

Image

A steenbokkie

Pied Kingfisher

Waterbuck

Great pics Sprocky & Amoli. \O

Amoli, I think your birdie is a Kalahari Scrub-robin. ;-)

The warthogs were having fun - some power show.. -O

This is a picture I could look at all day -

This pic can now replace my last hazy pic of drinking giraffe =O: =O:

Image

On the 'beach' at Mankwe Dam was this Fish Eagle O:V

Image

And the siren boys were there too - making a lot of noise ;-)

Our sightings were very normal, but magnified. The dams on the dirt roads were mostly dried up and therefore, we had good sightings at the Centre and Mankwe Dam.

I think your Mountain Wheatear is actually a capped Wheatear Amoli.
