Hi RP & Lisbeth,

I think in the report's context shoat refers to goats and or sheep - due to the large numbers that are illegally grazed in Tsavo an observer in a aircraft cannot make accurate distinctions.

In the light of elephant poaching particularly in East Africa (even with the in the Report mentioned decline) I'm not really sure why they "advertise" their super tuskers? It sure is interesting for us nature loving people and we appreciate information like that, but I really wonder if it's a sensible thing to do by the Tsavo Trust.

Hi Mel,

I was also as surprised as you about the Tsavo Trust advertising their tuskers but as you can see from the below FB entry - they clearly state that's the way to go.

Aha! ..0.. Whether I agree with that approach or not, is totally insignificant, since I don't have the expertise,
but this is at least a good explanation and thinking out of the box might actually really help the animals
at the end of the day. I certainly hope that the Tsavo Trust will be successful with their venture! \O And
I shall duly follow your monthly updates, because I really appreciate them. O:V

Thanks for this, 100ponder \O
