Thank you all for the hearty welcome and my apologies for the long absence since my first post. Herewith a few pictures of the braai area at the Dr's house from my time living there. There used to be an old water tank that we cut out and converted into a little lapa/bar. Had many a cold one there and the view to the north will never be forgotten.

I did 2 nights there in Nov just to experience it and must admit I would consider doing another night sometime. \O \O

It is a real pity that the Park's Board have priced this camp outrageously high. The noise from the Police post or from across the border can spoil one's evening, so it is a bit of a gamble. The early morning and late evening peacefulness along the river road is hard to beat though. I would definitely recommend the Dr's house if you have a choice. (I do miss those Castles)

Agree Dr's House is best IMO and love the wide verandas all round.

I am still not convinced especially at R3300 per night 0*\
But , perhaps that is because I am not desperate enough to spend that amount of money just for a night under clear ( ??? ) sky =O: =O:
