Second set of cheetah pics....
We were absolutely thrilled to see them moving around and quite close to us. They seemed to settle again so we drove back to the lions who were fortunately still in the same place... the waiting game for them to move would begin

Re: Addo Outings
You have got some gorgeous pics of the cheetahs. They might not belong in Addo, but I just love them A female should be introduced

Nice captures, PJL
from management plancheetah Acinonyx jubatus, introduced in 2007 into the Kuzuko contractual section. Species such as cheetah are planned for introduction into the Darlington area once the area and game populations are secured.

Re: Addo Outings
Thanks for your thoughts, PJL, succinct as always!
You have just been appointed Chief Commissar for Africa Wild Central Southeastern Eastern Cape Division!
Those pics of the cheetah are historical and temporary indeed...I feel a media opportunity coming on!

Really lovely cheetah shots, PJL. The ones drinking, and the three in a row are very eye-catching

Re: Addo Outings
Thanks for the comments folks
Back at the lions they were still resting and eating a bit. There weren't too many cars around - probably because it was still fairly difficult to see what was going on behind all the bushes, but we did get some glimpses of them
I had managed to correctly guess which way they would go when they finally got up so we were in a prime position when Josie decided it was time to move
It was great to see the youngsters close up at last
One of the girls...
The boy...
One of the girls then found some warthog padkos
They slowly moved away from the road and further into the bushes so these were some of the last shots before we lost sight of them
