Lunch was great and we took our time at the main camp catching up with a few people we knew. Our plan for the way back was very simple... head south and try find the lionesses if at all possible lol

At Hapoor there was an odd one out O**

Meanwhile at Marion Baree this mom was showing her little one how to cross the gap

Image

The lionesses weren't to be seen in Wayne's Valley or down by the Fire Base but Valli Moosa came along next to us which was cool to see. Even better is that he doesn't have a collar any longer O/\ O/\

A different perspective on the big man...

Snack time

The rest of the drive south was quiet apart from the many kudu

We stopped on Vukani to enjoy the sunset. We couldn't be totally sure, but we thought we heard a lion roaring in the general direction of Mbotyi, and we had seen a big herd of buffalo in the distance that way. It would be a good place to start the next morning

Our last excitement of the day was just off Vukani where we saw a caracal at the side of the road. I thought I had seen it too late and that it would disappear but it didn't seem to mind much about our car and I managed to get a few pics in the almost-no-light before it sauntered off O\/ O\/

What a beautiful caracal :-0 In good shape too by the looks of it \O

Mum ellie can show the little one how to cross a gap as much as she wants... the lil'ones legs are still way too short lol
But, wow, it does look still pretty "fresh". Cute! :-)

Valli Moosa :-0 :-0 :-0
