An AW member reports Wednesday that the walkway is FINALLY being rebuilt!
However she is quite technically minded re. her business and feels that the threaded bar rods being used for the poles are way too thin (6-8mm) where 10 is the absolute minimum. Also some of the old poles are being re-used, while standard practice should be for the tender-winner-contractor to quote for a total replacement and take away the remains.
The new poles are also being painted with creosote while lying on the brand-new floor planking, and those stains will never be able to be removed.
She also checked the railings at the restaurant itself on the upper deck and feels that they need urgent care and are unsafe.

I wonder if they only look at the price when they choose the enterprise
