Thank you all, once again...
Now for something different. I have small Freetailed Bats nesting in my thatch roof, which we are trying to relocate to a bat box which we have put up outside. I have also often seen much bigger Bats flying around, very close to the house at night. Earlier this week I saw them again and went out on the stoep with my spotlight, to see if I could get a clear view of them. There were lots of them flying around and then I noticed some of them landing and hanging from tree branches. I grabbed my camera, pushed up the ISO setting and tried to photograph them, only using the spotlight for illumination. A difficult task, when you only have two hands, camera in one hand, lens resting on other arm and holding the spotlight. The biggest trick was to get everything lined up on the hanging Bats. Somehow I managed a few shots. Now if someone could ID this Bat for me, I would really appreciate it...

This morning was drive time again. First up was an Elephant that arrived at the river while I was on foot at the edge of the river. He was super chilled and crossed the river quite close to me...

Further along the drive, I came across a breeding herd, also very chilled and not bothered with my presence...

You managed to get a great pic of the bat despite the difficulties
It looks like a Wahlberg’s epauletted fruit bat.

Thanks, Lis.
Moving on with the drive, a couple of Swainsons Spurfowls enjoying the morning sun after two days of cold, cloudy and windy weather...

Very good, Sprockwit!
Ja, a fruit bat!
(You had to hold your beer too, presumably, along with the camera and spotlight!
)
That waterbuck has some sort of malfunction...the right eye is also not straight?
They must look like this:
