Looks like a nice big marula tree that too!
(Would make a nice quiz pic!)

It was an ideal tree for the Leopard and whenever in that area we will recognize same

We were still happy that the woman showed us this sighting although it would have been our way either

She now fed meanwhile more than half an hour
only interrupted by taking looks around
and the typical cat cleaning and she even laid down again but now at least for us far better to be seen.
Meanwhile it was already 17.00 o’clock and we already said to each other that latest at 17.30 o’clock we had to leave in order to still arrive in time at Letaba but somehow everything
now happened quite fast and she started to move,
posed nicely for nearly everyone and on top the vehicle with the sunset drive from Olifants also arrived just in time to capture that spectacle

so the long wait was more than compensated by her and gladly we also stayed that long and with wide grins on our faces
we also left when she finally left the tree and was no longer to be seen
and after we waved and said good bye to all the people with whom we waited that long in the neighbouring cars we carried on via the tar road still stopping for some European bee eaters
and still arrived late but more than in time at Letaba where I grabbed the keys for No. 63 and with another wonderful braai we relieved the wonderful sightings we had that day.
Thursday, 23. February 2017 – Letaba
Driven roads: H1-5 – S95 – S46 – S93 – S44 – H8 – S92 – S91 – H1-5 – H8 – S93 – S46 – H1-5 – H9 - S69 - H1-5 - S95
Today the weather once again did not look that promising and therefore it was still a bit dark when we left camp after our obligatory morning coffee on our verandah when it was time that the gate will be opened. We spotted red billed oxpeckers today not on any animals but in a tree
and another scrub hare who sat quite a while in the middle of the road.
Then we already stood on the high water bridge crossing the Letaba and today we did not want to drive further North than here and decided to visit Olifants camp instead and explore all the roads around same which we could not drive yesterday due to the leopard lady.
For sure we left the car and looked everywhere and I simply could not believe the masses of water in the river as I still had the runlet in mind the Letaba looked the year before.
to be continued......
