There may be more than meets the eye regarding the arrested farmers. But Police are becoming a law unto themselves, especially in rural areas, and interracial incidents, specifically, sometimes engender a "knee-jerk" reaction from all parties involved. I have experienced this myself, repeatedly. Let's see. 0()

Vermeende stroper 'n polisieman

BUKS VILJOEN

Vrydag 24 Mei 2013

Basic translation: A policeman who was part of a group of poachers was wounded last night during a shoot-out between poachers and rangers. The rangers were in the Phabeni gate region when they heard gun fire. They tracked three poachers and one was wounded and arrested. It was then determined that the wounded man was a policeman. The other 2 suspects got away. A hunting rifle with silencer was found with the policeman.

Not any worse than rangers who are involved in rhino poaching, IMO.
The effect is the same - those who are supposed to protect the rhinos
and to arrest the poachers change sides because there is money luring. 0=

Tough prospects for the rhinos and all those who fight an honest war against poaching. :-(

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.

Stop speculating Mel

I said it on another forum that many of those who have to fight crime are involved in it.

Just wonder how widepread the problem is and how high it goes and if we ever going to control the poaching. We are now losing 2 rhinos a day in Kruger. Wait to see what the spin doctors say because they cannot blame this one on Mozambique.

Freedom of speech here, Sharifa!

I reckon if we were to know all about this hideous crime
it would rattle our very moral soul. It will leave one churning
inside, fighting the very moral fiber constituting a honest
down to earth way of life.

Such revelation leaves one filled with hatred and tempted
to fulfill a rather sick attitude toward society in general.

The bad situations are becoming so cumbersome that all
good goes for lost in the storm of evil prevailing...

A sad sad situation for all South Africans!!!

As in all situations youget the good with the bad. Mabunda has admitted that they have internal problems with SanParks staff aiding and abetting poachers, so much so that they have embraked on a project of lie detector tests from himself all the way down through the ranks.

Man was placed in charge and given the duty of caring for all creation, are we doing it?
