Big mammal! ;-)

That first eagle pic shows the condescending look! Wonder if anyone has a closer one?

On the opposite bank in amongst the rocks. O/\

Incline. Vertical is more the opposite of horizontal, whilst incline is more of a slope, which can either be steep, or not. Three banded plovers have suckers on their toes to enable them to glue themselves to inclines much like frogs do. Thericles told me that one as his suckers enable him to stick like glue to windscreens. O**

Love the Actitis hypoleucos. ^Q^ \O

Thanks, nana!

Then while having a look at this one, GB leaned back to accept a soda water from the cooler, and started shrieking...he has a bit of a high voice... O-/

GB: "Eeeeeeeek!"

RP: "Sounds like you found the Brown Snake Eagle call! Well done!"

GB: "LION!"

Bl: "Ja, that sounds like their call..very eagle like! \O "

I blasted a shot through the window to find out what he was gibbering about...the dimwits don't bring cameras to the Park often... :O^

Image

And there was indeed a sleeping lion behind us all the time....

Another vehicle eventually arrived, and Bl explained to them the location of the lion! =O: =O: =O: There was actually another lion in the background...I must say I predicted this! ;-) :ty:

As we left, I recognised the driver...sitting in the back seat of Bl's Chinese wagon is a bit like being in a bunker, to be honest. It was Bushveld Jock, but it took me quite a few seconds to go through the memory banks, so I shouted a belated "Hello Peteeeeeeeeer" through the window as we left... 0*\ :o0ps:

PRWIN should be able to add some pics here! =O: =O: =O: =O:

Bl's car has this irritating air freshener that hangs from the mirror, so when one looks up momentarily from the back seat it looks like some animal dashing across the road every time..

Image

We saw many, many rhino! \O

An "ear high five"! :-0

I "auto-corrected" this last one to show the background a bit more, it is indeed a lovely road! ^Q^ X#X
