Ring in the new year at the new Skukuza Safari Lodge in Kruger National Park
The new Skukuza Safari Lodge situated in the south of the iconic Kruger National Park is almost ready to welcome the first guests with a special rate for last minute holidaymakers this New Years Eve.
According to South African National Parks (SANParks), Managing Executive: Tourism Development and Marketing, Hapiloe Sello, the lodge will open a limited number of rooms as part of a soft launch.
Sello said “in preparation for an official opening early next year, SANParks is using this period as a test phase and are inviting guests to provide constructive feedback in preparation for the full launch early in the new year’.
SANParks is offering guests a 20% discounted rate for stays between 30 December 2019 to 31 January 2020. According to Sello, at this stage, the lodge will have limited services and restaurant and catering will not be available. However guests will have access to all catering services and other amenities at the Skukuza camp.

• Skukuza Safari Lodge developed by SANParks in the Kruger National Park and the adjacent Conference Centre are designed to operate as one business entity.
• The design is based on a 3-star facility offering 4-star service. It has 128 rooms with a combination of 8 luxury suites, standard rooms and family rooms including universal access rooms.
• Green building initiatives are incorporated to ensure the greenest lodge possible within the framework of international best practice.
• The Lodge will have its own restaurant and bar facilities, a gym and an olympic size swimming pool. Guests will be able to book for safari activities at the concierge desk at the front desk of the Lodge.
