If it's a Ladybird, it's not one of the regulars - Lunate, Harlequin or Potato. It's not even half the size of those and the newly hatched one I posted previously - which was probably a Harlequin, judging by the W on its head - was normal adult sized.

You are probably right about the blonde one being a Leaf Beetle.

Toko, I see the answer to the "Rhinia" fly has been removed, (I believe it suggested I could NOT assume it was a specific Genus, but only from a particular Family, Tribe, etc, and not down to genus level), so I will hold off posting that one for now.

Identification (a compilation from various sites)
The thorax has THREE black longitudinal stripes, the abdomen is often a checkerboard pattern of black and gray spots, their eyes are reddish, with clear wings. The tip of the abdomen is usually red or pink. They are easy to confuse with house (Musca domestica) and face (M. autumnalis) flies, which have a thorax with FOUR dark longitudinal stripes, and an abdomen lacking the black and gray checkered pattern.

Shows 3, not 4, stripes

Shows orange tipped abdomen
