A class of behaviour in the wild should be mandatory for all first time visitors

The foxes move the cubs away, when they are big enough just like cats, to avoid being discovered by ill-intentioned predators, maybe dogs do it too The animal instinct is something incredible.

Such a shame they were gone after that. They gave you such a lovely time... But at least you got to see them

As for the springbok / eland - you're right, of course. I can remember not comprehending what carcass I saw because it had the seize of a springbok, but NOT a white belly The horn threw me off a bit because I really did think it looked like an eland's rather than springbok. (I still do , but that's most likely due to me needing some glasses )

It's amazing to me that I've seen all the big cat cubs, but never seen jackal pups. Very jealous!

Klipspringer - so glad you are enjoying it, thank you. (And while I'm at it, thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into your contributions to this Forum. Very admirable. )

Mel - at the time it happened, we felt certain that was the reason for the relocation, as it seemed too coincidental. However, in fairness, there is no way to know if perhaps that was just the time they would have been moved anyway. And to be fair to the tourists, they most probably had NO idea about the jackals, as they had just arrived, and it seemed few others knew about them either. "Benefit of the doubt" is usually the best first choice, so I'll go with that.

Flutts - We saw a jackal mom carrying her pup down the road years ago, but it was somewhat older, so this was our best sighting by far.

RP - KTC is not fenced. It is set up on a dune, sloping down to the riverbed. The tourists were exploring the slope, at least half way down. I've never seen a single person ever walk in front of their tent, on the riverbed side, much less that far down, and in front of everyone else's tents to boot. People do walk behind the tents on the road from time to time (go to the pool, etc), but the camp is well known for being a favorite spot for lions to stroll through, or rest awhile.

Our last day at KTC we were greeted by giraffes at first light.

I'm not gonna post every sighting, 'cause many times they are just walking (usually away), but this one was at Craig Lockhart on our drive back to camp that morning.
