Yes it did manage to eat that fish but it took awhile.

Just to change it up a little I will post some of the smaller things we have spotted over the years and return to the birds later.

Darkling Beetle Anomalipus sp, I think

Might be Hycleus oculatus Blister Beetle

Male Red-veined Dropwing Trithemis arteriosa

Most likely Large Copper Dung Beetle Kheper nigroaeneus, Scarabaeus nigroaeneus

Armoured Ground Cricket Acanthoplus armativentris

I love these small things, all of them - lovely photos, Kesheshe and Penny
