Day 5: Tatasberg to Ganakouriep Wilderness Camp

The previous night we were debating if we should stay until 10 am at Tatasberg sleeping late or try to get to Kokerboomkloof again slightly earlier. At first it was sleeping late, but by morning we had a quick breakfast of Oatso-Easy, packed and off to Ganakouriep via Kokerboomkloof.

On the way near Tatasberg:

Before the trip my SO was looking for info about a Shepherds's tree growing on top of the rock after seeing a amazing pic taken by photographer Hougaard Malan and Shem Compion We found the tree (see the tiny tree in the pic below), but the climb was just too much and the time not right. Next time we will try again. We walked up to the Toad stool rock and a rock named Queen Victoria

:ty: Normally not a lot of clouds around throughout the year, so we were lucky to experience rain when we stayed at Gannakouriep. Lovely to see the clouds build up towards a thunderstorm. ;-)
