Well done Sprocky, you are a winner!!
It's incredible how SANParks is twisting the facts...it's a disgrace.

Thanks Theuns, but to make matters worse I am now being branded as the bad one.

Have you heard anything Sprocks?

SanParks have said investigations are continuing, as per their forum statement, so let's see where that goes!
They watch here more than we do, but no further info, I'm afraid!

The silence is deafening - surely with each passing day those in charge of their spin department must realise that the sooner something is said the better! I find it fascinating that I have to resort to months and screeds of e mails before a trip to the Park for the "right" to be granted to take a sealed box of wine through the Croc Bridge gate to the Paul Kruger Gate and yet this is allowed to happen. Frightening!

Indeed, Penny, paradoxes of note!
Professional Public Relations officers would have corrected this story ages ago. With the emphasis on professional. SANParks owes us all the truth, setting the record straight is the ethical thing to do.
That's the one side of the coin. SANParks should not have locked their Forum when this incident was discussed. Again, (a poor attempt at trying to?) hiding the facts from their members. Portraying only the 'rosy' side.
Pink, green, yellow, black or white - all rules must apply to all. Same goes with transgressions. All perpetrators must be brought to book, and fines and restrictions imposed indiscriminately, irrespective of race or greed.

Penny, as things stand at the moment, I did what I felt was the right thing to do. I was thanked by all the staff at the gate and they promised to phone me and tell me what happened in the next day or two. So far I have heard nothing. I will try and find out when I am in town again during working hours.

The local Herald Newspaper in PE carried the Mabasa 'White wash' story how the gate staff sorted the WHOLE thing out...Typical incompetance by the whole Communications function yet again...get professionals in
