Last night at around 10.15 pm we had three storks patrolling the air above our garden.
With a pink sky it was an awesome sight.

I'm a bit green of your Serin sighting. Still one on my wish list.
I actually only discovered it by its call which is abysmal, I find. Not a very nice voice.

Here are some of the birds that I have managed to photos of in our new garden.
Is this a female weaver?
A young dove basking in the evening sun.
Someone's pet ( I think) came to visit and have a meal with some friends. Can anyone tell what parakeet this is.
Grey Go-away-bird.
Seen but not photographed.
Black-collared Barbet
Red-headed Finch
Speckled Pigeon
Dark-capped Bulbul
Common Mynah - far too many for comfort.
and the usual other gang members.

Great pics from your garden STF.
Closest I can find for the exotic visitor is Fischer's Lovebird from Tanzania, but the colours are much brighter than the photos I'm looking at.

Possibly due to captive breeding.

Thanks very much for the compliment Dewi and for the Fischers Lovebird ID.

Ooops - left these two out.
Cape White-eye.
Cape Wagtail.
The strange thing about this "Waggie" is that at our old home , 10 kilometres away, we hardly ever saw one, now we see plenty every day.
