HI Alice -- welcome to the forum .
This is rather a plant from the Highveld areas and I doubt whether it occurs anywhere in the Cape

Thanks for replying to me.
So you mean I can't find it around Cape Town?
But I've seen similar plants that do look like Melinis minutflora.
I'll take pictures and will paste them here so that you can confirm.
By the way, I met a guy who's from Brazil here in Cape Town, and told me that Melinis minutflora is a creeping plant? is that true???
with what I've seen on Google search, Melinis minutflora is a plant with a straight stem moving upwards. Now I got confused???
If you can find it in your area, can I buy it from you guys? cause I need it.

This one has a name: Adenium (Adenium oleifolium) but I cannot find it in the Wild Flower Book
There was just this one plant in KTP in Nov. somewhere on the Aoub river side. I expected maybe to see others, but no, nothing

Very nice Lisbeth

And quite a rare plant too
See this , according to Sanbi site :
A. oleifolium is Vulnerable (VU) in Botswana owing to the severely fragmented and continued declining number of populations and mature individuals. It is Data Deficient (DD) in Namibia because only one specimen has been collected from this country thus far. Threats include collecting and harvesting for medicinal use. It is rare and definitely requires protection

I was surprised to see only one specimen in the whole park, but now I understand why

Okie!
Will do, Flutty
