Looking at the specials constantly being offered here, it is a far cry from the lofty reasons for the construction of the hotel offered in 2013:

SANParks needs to diversify the product offering. By establishing the conference centre at Skukuza and by further providing for accommodation and services that meet the expectations of the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Events) market, SANParks will be realising it’s objective of
Page 4 of 10 diversifying its product range and attracting new markets. The MICE market essentially requires a different design and layout of facilities and services and the additional 120 rooms aims to provide that.

Later on SP mentioned that the hotel would be for "other cultural groups" who do ot enjoy the self-catering model.

So neither of these models have been realised, as we predicted.

They are in trouble O**

For
(Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Events)
Skukuza is too far away from Johannesburg, Pretoria, Capetown and Durban. SANParks has thrown the dice and lost O** To their excuse, it is not exactly the right moment for MICE with the COVID-19 running mad 0*\

Ja, Covid will be used as an excuse for a long time...it is not as though the Mice were streaming into the place in Jan-March, though...

The top ones are all the same video O**

Now they are trying a publicity campaign, calling a hotel a new tourism sector, as obviously they have problems 0'
