Re: Dog Day Afternoons.
Where is the fence there, and the local Parks Board must clear those bushes/stumps out of the way of the view, dammit!
Ai...also want to be there, even though the dogs charging through camp twice story is obviously false advertising, still a great setting...
What species is that lone tree pic?
Ja, bring on the other 100 ellie and vulture pics, why not?
Nice finale of the first evening of the last day!

Thanks for commenting Mel, Nan, Lis & Flutt's.
Was tempted to keep one myself.
Sitting in that chair looking at the view was very relaxing.
Oops, nearly missed your post RP.

Re: Dog Day Afternoons.
We had breakfast in the morning twighlight and resignedly packed up the bakkie and struck camp.
"Let's have one last look at the dogs." I said.
So off we popped to see who was about.
A couple of vehicles were parked in the bush next to the den.
We realised that they were a film crew busy filming the pups, but they were blocking our view. We moved up the road a bit and one of the dogs was there at the verge side.
Looking in through the vegetation, the pups were out in force.
They were milling around, searching the ground, so we guessed that they might have been fed and were still looking for dropped scraps. Their tummies were bulging, so I guess we had missed the feeding by minutes?
We were loathe to leave, but at least we knew that we might "see" them again as they were now film stars.
The minutes ticked by. We had a long way to drive, but we held on as long as we could.
Another of the adults was keeping guard on the pups, making sure that the film crew behaved themselves.
But the pups were unfazed by all the attention they were getting.
And continued to look for scraps to nibble.
The rest of the gang had wandered under a nearby bush.
Leaving only a few stragglers out in the open.
This was a fabulous end to our time in Dijara. We set off on the dusty road back to Maun & then South, past the vultures and eventually back home.
BUT, I can't possibly end this TT there can I?.............Think I might just squeeze in one last episode for you all.
